Youth Ministry at St. Peter’s
We want students to grow as Anglican Christians in the Church. Our Youth Ministry's highest priority is that the students are Christians who know and are known by the Trinity. We hope that this includes being Anglicans! None of us are Anglican accidentally and we believe there are tangible benefits of Anglicanism. Our second priority is that our students participate in the community of all believers. This means participating in the life of a church, but also includes the community of believers found in each family.
Our Youth Ministry has created many different opportunities for our students to become involved in the life of St. Peter’s. Come join us for acolyting, singing, Sunday School, and youth fellowship.
Serving in Worship
Weekly and Special Services
All middle and high school students are invited to participate in the Acolyte program. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our Youth to be a part of and serve in the worship services. We also encourage our Youth to serve as readers for the New Testament readings each Sunday. Students can also serve in worship through the Youth Choir, leading Evensong on the fifth Sunday of the month.
Engage Groups
Small Groups led by an Adult Youth Leader
Our middle and high school ministry is driven by these small groups. During these times of discipleship and Bible study, students are encouraged to take ownership of their faith and to pursue God. If you would like to be a part of an engage group, please let Dcn. David know!
Sunday School
Between Services, 10:25–11:05am
Sunday School is offered between the two morning services. Youth are split into two study groups based on age - Middle School and High School.
Catechism/Confirmation CLasses
Wednesdays, 6:15pm
All youth are invited to participate in Confirmation class whether they have been confirmed or not. Confirmation occurs in December of each year.
