Dear St. Peter’s Family,
One of the great joys of serving as your Dean is witnessing the many ways the Holy Spirit is at work in and through this parish. Every week, we see new signs of God’s faithfulness and evidence that St. Peter’s is living into its mission of engaging a changing world with the Ancient Faith.
Over the past year, our average Sunday attendance has grown by more than 13 percent. We are welcoming new members, including many young families, boosting participation in our children’s and youth ministries. We are also expanding our commitment to Christ’s call to share the Gospel and serve others, with missions at home and abroad accounting for a growing portion of our parish budget.
At the same time, we are caring for one another as a church family. With an average of 22 pastoral visits each week, we have strengthened our ministry of presence and compassion, walking alongside those who are sick, grieving, or in need of encouragement. All these are tangible signs of a vibrant parish where lives are being transformed, disciples are being formed, and Christ is being made known.
Our stewardship theme, We Are All In, is both an invitation and a challenge. It reminds us that God calls each of us to offer our whole selves in response to His abundant grace—not only our financial resources, but also our time, our talents, our prayers, and our service.
Whether you are new to St. Peter’s, a longtime parishioner, or someone who joins us regularly through our online worship, we hope you will prayerfully consider making a pledge and supporting the life and ministry of this parish at the level you are able. Our goal is not equal gifts, but equal commitment — 100 percent participation in supporting the work God has entrusted to us.
Together, we can more fully respond to Jesus’ call to proclaim the gospel, serve our neighbors, and love the Lord our God with all our hearts, our souls, and our minds. Thank you for your faithfulness, your generosity, and your partnership in the mission of St. Peter’s.

While St. Peter’s welcomes and appreciates donations in the collection plate, pledges are predictable, committed income that help the cathedral forecast our investment in programming and staffing. Ideally, all parishioners, as one church family, would commit a pledge at whatever level they are able and called by God.

All ministries are essential to support a thriving congregation and spiritual home. Allowing annual pledges to be directed to one ministry would make the budgeting of a fully functioning cathedral difficult. But members have many opportunities to support individual ministries throughout the year, in addition to their annual pledge.

No, all are welcome to join us in worshiping our Lord. But an annual financial pledge is a reflection of mature discipleship and a personal commitment to the mission of St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral and the role we play in building for Christ’s kingdom. St. Peter’s depends on the commitment and generosity of our parishioners and the providence of God to exist, function, and grow.

Tithing is the practice of giving 10% of one’s income to the church for religious purposes. It has deep Biblical roots, dating back to Abraham (Genesis 14:18-20) and Jacob (Genesis 28:20-22), who gave 10% of their possessions to God in response to a blessing. Jesus said “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full.” (Luke 6:38)

Stewardship supports the ongoing yearly operation of the church. An expansion of the cathedral campus will be separately funded through a multi-year capital campaign.

We are praying for 100% participation of the parish in supporting St. Peter’s at whatever level each person is able.
