Bring your cup of coffee and a lawn chair, and the Men’s Ministry Council will have a bagged breakfast from Chick Fil A waiting for you. Gather on the North Lawn by the stage. Enjoy your bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, hash browns, and fruit cup as Judge J. Layne Smith speaks on "Just Passing Through."

The Honorable J. Layne Smith is a judge for the 2nd judicial Circuit Court in Leon County Florida. Smith was initially appointed to the Leon County quote by former governor Rick Scott on March 12, 2015. Then in 2020 he was elevated to the Leon County Circuit Court my Governor Ron DeSantis.

Judge Smith has twenty-four years of private practice experience trying civil, criminal defense, and administrative cases. He has served our community as a special designated assistant public defender and as a special designated assistant statewide prosecutor. J. Layne Smith is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. This rating is the highest one available regarding skills and ethics, and one that is bestowed on less than ten percent (10%) of all lawyers.
