St. Peters is committed to serving the Lord by serving those in prison and those affected by incarceration. We seek to facilitate the restoration of incarcerated men and women in and through Christ by partnering with Kairos Prison Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Good Samaritan Network Village, and Good News Outreach. Learn more about these ministries below!

Are there other opportunities to volunteer for prison ministry? YES!

  • Pray for the inmates and volunteers

  • Write letters

    • One paragraph to one page addressed to “Dear Brother in Christ”

  • Make posters, kid’s posters and artwork are especially encouraging

Ministry Partners

Kairos Prison Ministry brings Christ’s love and forgiveness to prisoners and their families. The men of St. Peter’s work together with Christians from the region to provide a weekend experience in prison followed up with accountability, support and prayer. The Good Samaritan Network is a faith-based residential program for men that includes work therapy, community service, life skills training, spiritual enrichment, accountability and structure.  Learn more about Good Samaritan Network: gsncares.org

Celebrate Recovery provides a Christ-centered 12 step recovery program for those impacted by incarceration. This ministry allows for a path toward restoration and healing in Christ. Learn more about Celebrate Recovery: celebraterecovery.com

 

Re-entry.  Working closely with Good News Outreach and other local ministries, St. Peter’s parishioners are beginning to vision a new way to assist men and women being released from incarceration live a new life in Christ. Learn more about Good News Outreach: www.goodnewsoutreach.org
