Guest Speaker: Robbie Castleman
Friday September 5th | 5:30pm-8pm
Attention all parents of children and teens! Come for fellowship, dinner, and a parent’s workshop. The children will be busy with a pizza dinner, craft, game time, and more. Our youth are going to have dinner and activities too. Our guest speaker, Robbie Castleman , has a heart for partnering with parents to help equip them to "Daddy, I'd like you to meet my children." That's Robbie Castleman's attitude about bringing your children to church. She believes that Sunday morning isn't a success if she has only managed to keep the kids quiet. Children of all ages are at church for the same reason as their parents: for the privilege of worshiping God. Worship, Castleman writes, is "the most important thing you can ever train your child to do." So with infectious passion, nitty-gritty advice and a touch of humor, she shows you how to help your children (from toddlers to teenagers) enter into worship. Dr. Robbie Castleman is professor Emerita of New Testament & Biblical Studies at John Brown University. She is the author of several books including Story Shaped Worship and Parenting in the Pew. Robbie is returning to Tallahassee to share her in-depth knowledge and love with you all. This will be a treat! There is something for the whole family this evening. So please RSVP for the dinner head count. We are asking for $20 donation per family to help cover the cost if you are able. Please RSVP to Amy Stewart at astewart@stpetersfl.com today! Please share who is coming, the ages of children and youth, and if there are any food allergies.
Robbie Castleman with the youth | 5 Sept | 4:30pm | If you are in high school mark your calendars for Friday September 5th at 4:30! Professor Castleman's time with St. Peter's youth won't just help you engage the story arc of biblical worship, but you'll get better grades if you go to college because of some ideas presented at the seminar!
