Christ caring for people
through his people

What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’
— Luke 15:1-7

In a large parish like St. Peter’s, it can be difficult for the pastoral needs of all to be seen and heard. Yet we know that this is not the will of Christ – the Father’s love is like that of a shepherd who cares for each and every sheep in his flock.

Care Ministries at St. Peter’s seeks to provide spiritual and emotional support for all of His children. As you read on you will see there are various groups and pastoral resources St. Peter’s offers, whether you are simply looking for deeper community or are having specific difficulties in a season of life.

At all ages and in all struggles, there are faithful and experienced parishioners and clergy who are committed to Christ’s call to “feed his sheep.”

Clergy Hospital Visitation

Our clergy make regular visits to local hospitals. Please contact us so that we may best care for you.

Parish Visitors

These are laypeople who minister to members of the Cathedral family who are unable to come to church, those facing illness, or the bereaved through phone calls, cards, visits, and flower deliveries from our Flower Guild. If you know of any of our parishioners who would benefit from this ministry, please contact us.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors

If you are unable to attend Sunday service due to a pastoral circumstance, Lay Eucharistic Visitors are available to bring Communion to you. Please contact us to schedule a LEMV to bring you communion.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are laypeople who are specially trained to walk with people in difficult seasons of life and to offer distinctively Christian care within a confidential setting. Please email StephenMinistry@StPetersFL.com to get connected with a Stephen Minister.
