The refugee crisis today can often be overwhelming to approach and even feel distantly related to our everyday life. This course will enter into the hard questions surrounding this situation in the hope of discovering some possible responses for Christian communities. The class will explore such questions as: Who are the refugees and other displaced peoples? What are the real risks and benefits of receiving them? How do we balance compassion and security? Seeking Refuge, a book written by three experts from World Relief, will guide class discussions..
